VM and VPC are demanding. The study designs are complex, there are compliance pressures, and most teachers were never trained for any of it. On top of that, students disengage when learning stays stuck on paper, and making it genuinely hands-on and applied is hard to get right. Skills for Schools exists to change that: to work alongside schools rather than above them, and to make applied learning something teachers are proud to deliver.

Meet Carla
Carla is the founder of Skills for Schools and an experienced applied learning educator who specialises in building strong VCE Vocational Major (VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs.
She works alongside schools to design practical, hands-on learning that engages students and builds teacher confidence. Known for her clear, realistic approach, Carla helps teams strengthen curriculum, assessment, and classroom practice in ways that are achievable and built to last.
At the heart of her work is a real commitment to applied learning done well. Carla believes strong programs change outcomes, and she loves helping schools create classrooms where students feel capable, valued, and proud of what they achieve.
